Get Your Ducks in a Row πŸ¦†

"Pour myself a cup of ambition"

9 to 5 by Dolly Parton

Hey Reader!

September has been a hard reset for me. I was running on empty the past two months.

Did I have fun? yes

Did I go to bed on time? no comment

By the end of August, I caught myself constantly saying "I just need to get my ducks in a row..."

On September 1, I got out pencil and paper and wrote down everything in my head. All my goals, my to do's, my ideas. Then I organized it into categories ranking their urgency

And friend- ever since, the ducks have BEEN IN A ROW!

I realize how much noise I have in my mind from not writing things down. I'm constantly worried about forgetting details, so I run the details through my head, forcing me to thinking of everything at once.

It's no way to live, or make important decisions.

Now my brain is focused on the current task, and I can revisit the rest when I'm ready.

Reader I wanted to make something like this for you.

When you tour daycares, preschools, elementary and middle schools there are so many details to remember. After you go to a few, they all start blurring together. Next you you know, you're on the phone asking the school secretary the most basic questions.

That's why I created The School Tour Tracker. So everything is in one place. Plus- it's only $5.

What's New?

🍎 Next Week!: The Kindergarten School Talk Workshop is next week! This workshop is VIRTUAL so you can watch live or access the replay for 30 days. This is the perfect time to take the workshop so you can be ready for School Application Season.

πŸ“šStory Time Friday! Charlotte Families- I'll be the story time reader at Betty's Bookworms this Friday from 9:30 to 10am. If you're coming, let me know your baby's favorite song so I can incorporate it.

πŸŽ‚ Happy Birthday: Wishing a very happy birthday to my sister in law! She's visiting us this week from Oregon. Can't wait to celebrate her at a dinner tonight.

πŸ… From the garden: After watching everything burn to a crisp this August, I was surprised with one final summer tomato. This weekend I pulled my tired plants and seeded my fall garden. I get all my advice from The Patio Farmer. Her newsletter is incredible!

Things I Love

πŸ‚ Cute Storybook Series: I've recently fallen in love with Alice Hemming's The Leaf Thief Books. These seasonal stories about a silly squirrel are goofy and teach about holidays & seasons. Great for ages 3- 7.

πŸ‘Ÿ So Strong: I finally am back at the gym after tearing my calf in March. I'm doing strength work outs a few times of week. These shoes have been perfect. Supportive, wide toe bed, pretty colors, and majorly marked down.

πŸŽƒ Spooky Reading: Got a new reader that refuses to use their "reading finger?" Let me teach you the oldest trick in the book! Have them point with this to make using your reading finger fun

Tell me, are your ducks in a row?
